Yes, it's about time to put away our politcal differences and fast. Yes, I said fast, but not from food. No, we need to fast from poliitics. All Christians from all sides of the political spectrum need to fast. That recomendation came not from a someone who shuns politics, but from someone, who has come from politics. This recommendation comes from David Chou who worked on President Bush's Faith Based Initiutives.
He recomends that instead of voting we turn ourselves over to God. He contends and I agree that only God can save this country. Politicians do not have the strenght to save this country. I would like to take this one step up and pray for our politcal leaders regqardless of party. Pray not just for the two main parties, but all political parties and their canidates. God requires us to pray for our leaders.

The Good Samaritan
Today, I had the unfortunate of having a flat tire. I struggled in the pouiring rain to get the lugnuts off the tire, and then to get the spare from under the bed of my truck. All this while I turned down offers of help because I had called AAA.
I turned into my local Quick Check a little too wide thus breakking the seal of the tire. The truck hubbled into the first space that I could find. Let me to the chase and not bore you with details.
I had just called AAA when a husband and wife pulled into the lot. The husband offer to help, but I had turned the offer down because of AAA. He reassuerd that if I am still waiting when he returned, he would help me. After a half an hour, he returned and no AAA.
The two of us changed the tire. Well, it turned he happened to be a brother in Christ. I blessed him with what he needed and he blessed me with I needed. Do onto others as you have them do onto you.

A Generation that Needs to Growup
A while back, I and a fellow go worker had this discussion. We talked about the me generation and those that came after. We belong to the Woodstock Generation which produced much of the later generations. We came to the conculsion that those from these generations care for nothing but themselves.
A day, worker who comes from the Me Generation, had talk about the primary. He went onto bash the Democrats while praising the Republicans. I did not ask this at the time, but I have one questions what has this President and these Republicans done for you?
